Baltic Board purchases logs all year round. Logs should meet following general requirements:

1. Species – Spruce, Pine, Birch, Aspen, Alder, Black alder
2. Logs must be fresh cut
3. Without double curvature
4. The thin-end diameter of the debarked log must be from 120 mm to 300 mm
5. Single curvature can’t exceed 5%
6. Rot is not allowed
7. Length – 2400 mm
8. Branches properly pruned off (length up to 20 mm)
9. Deadwood must be free of blue patches and longitudinal cracks
10. Metal and other solid material impurities are not allowed
11. The thick-end diameter of the butt log cannot exceed the maximum allowable diameter at the thick-end and must not have a stump
12. Logs with previous and existing double crotch are not accepted
13. Seller must provide all the required documents for timber – documents proving ownership, logging permit.
